Barcelona Jewelry Studio runs small-group jewellery-making sessions where each guest designs and carves their own ring or necklace pendant by hand, guided throughout by a jewellery artist. It's a hen do activity that ends with a genuine, gorgeous memento rather than just a photo: no experience is needed, and every piece comes out completely individual, shaped entirely by the person who made it.

This workshop is for hens who:

Want a hands-on creative session that ends with something to wear, not just a photo
Love the idea of designing their own jewellery but have never so much as held a carving tool
Are after something a little classier than the usual hen do lineup
Want a keepsake from the day that the bride (and everyone else) will still be wearing in a year's time

Here's how it works:

Choose your metal (bronze, sterling silver, or gold-plated bronze) and decide whether you're carving a ring or a necklace pendant
Get shown the ropes by the studio's resident jewellery artist, with demonstrations and one-to-one help throughout
Design and carve your piece in jeweller's wax over the session, with two glasses of wine to sip as you go
Your finished wax carving is sent off to be cast using the lost-wax method, one of the oldest jewellery-making techniques in the world
Your finished piece arrives 2 to 5 weeks later, ready to collect from the atelier or shipped worldwide

Location: A working artist's atelier in Gracia, Barcelona. Or, at your private venue for groups of 7 or more.

Duration: 2 to 2.5 hours for the session; finished pieces ready 2 to 5 weeks later and shipped worlwide.

Group size: Up to 14 at the Gracia atelier with the standard setup; larger groups accommodated on request

Prices shown are from £80pp (bronze) and from £100pp (sterling silver or gold-plated bronze), based on private groups of 3 or more, and include two glasses of wine and all materials.
