About Barcelona Jewelry Studio
Barcelona Jewelry Studio runs small-group jewellery-making workshops at a studio in Gracia, Barcelona, where each guest designs and hand-carves their own ring or necklace pendant. It's a unique hen do activity that sends everyone home with a genuine, gorgeous memento of the weekend, rather than something destined for a drawer.
Over a couple of hours Samantha, a professional jewellery artist, guides you through shaping a piece entirely in jeweller's wax, with demonstrations and one-to-one help as everyone carves and refines their design. No two pieces come out the same, because no two hens carve the same way. Once the wax carving is finished, each piece is sent off to be cast using the lost-wax method, one of the oldest jewellery-making techniques in the world, and comes back finished in your choice of bronze, sterling silver, or gold-plated bronze.
Finished pieces are ready 2 to 5 weeks later, available to collect from the atelier or shipped worldwide, so the memory of the hen do stays somewhere everyone can actually see it: on their hand or around their neck.

Why do jewellery making at a hen party?
A jewellery-making workshop gives a group something a standard craft session rarely does: a piece of jewellery, designed and made by hand, that the wearer will actually reach for long after the hen do photos are forgotten. It's relaxed enough for a low-key gathering and characterful enough to become the story everyone tells about how they made their own ring. With wine included and total beginners welcome, it suits a hen who's never done a craft activity in her life just as well as really creative people.
